Pradiip Alvarez is a Venezuelan Ambassador to One Young World, the world's premier leadership summit. He is pursuing a Master of Science in International Affairs at Florida State University and will soon start working as an international student peer mentor at the FSU Center for Global Engagement.
In 2011 Pradiip co-founded the Venezuelan Student Association at FSU, and in 2012/2013 he directed FSU's International Student Association (InternatioNole). Pradiip has represented FSU at several national and international conferences such as the Plan Pais Venezuelan International Conference 2011, 2012, and 2013 at Yale, George Washington, Georgetown, and MIT, the 2011 and 2013 Florida International Leadership Conference, Amnesty International 2010 annual global conference, among others.
Pradiip has extensive international experience. He has studied abroad in Panama City, Panama and at CERN in Geneva, Switzerland. He is also fluent in Spanish and conversationally fluent in Italian. Pradiip Alvarez is the recipient of the 2012 FSU Global Citizen Award given annually to two students "who exemplify global citizenship by building relationships across cultures and fostering global awareness and mutual understanding on the FSU campus." Pradiip hopes to be a vector of change for Venezuela in the near future.
